Smithers-Oasis at IPM 2019 in Essen
It was a great success, the international plant fair in January 2019. Also this year, friends of the green industry were invited to come and look for trends and inspiration. With its own stand in Hall 5 and part of the BLOOM’s World special show in Hall 1A, Smithers-Oasis was also there and there was plenty to discover.
At our own booth, the OASIS® BLACK series were skillfully presented in our product demos by Lisa Thalmayr. The fact that the black floral foam has to hide anything but, we could impressively demonstrate to the visitors with the milling machine, which was made by our locksmiths for the fair. Lisa milled individual vases from black floral foam cylinders. An idea that can also be implemented at home with a little patience (our tip: files, sandpaper, knife and sander are good tools for getting the foam into shape).
Our participation at the BLOOM’s special show caused amazement and was a real eye-catcher in the flower hall: matching the new catalog, our cut products for wedding and funeral floristry shone in a scribbled environment and showed the current floristry trends 2019. In 3 areas (funeral, wedding and living area), visitors were inspired by both our green and the black cut foam products.
Sina Bertsch invited in our “living room” to great workshops around the black plug foam and could make the one or other skeptic a fan.
And Evelyn Gerull, of course, provided helpful information and clarification of the visitors on various topics and questions as explanatory bear Evi in the front line.
