Watered Floral Foam
The suction time of an OASIS® fresh floral foam brick is now only approx. 90 seconds. It is therefore not necessary to water floral foam in advance! It is best to cut the floral foam dry, then water it first and then fix it in the container. This way there will be no leftovers. Watered cutting foam should not be kept in water for too long, because the bacteria in the tap water can multiply and later affect the shelf life of the flowers. In addition, already watered cutting foam should not be dried for storage, as it is difficult to reabsorb afterwards. It also no longer absorbs as much water and can no longer hold it optimally. Bacteria have also formed in the meantime.
ALREADY USED FLORAL FOAM SHOULD NOT BE PLUGGED IN AGAIN. DUE TO THE FLOWER STEMS, BACTERIA WILL HAVE PROLIFERATED IN THE FOAM AFTER A FEW DAYS. THESE REDUCE THE SHELF LIFE OF FRESHLY CUT FLOWERS BY APPROX. 50 %!
