Cut birch bark into square and cut with scissors about 4 cm from the corners.
Punch a hole in the outer corners of two opposite of the resulting four triangles, punch a hole in the outer corners of each. Then fold the bark square by folding up the triangles to form a shell, first folding up the areas without holes, then those with holes.
